Manchester University has announced a new scholarship for students in its incoming Accelerated Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (ABSN) Second Degree class. The Manchester Nursing Success Scholarship will provide $14,000 to in-state and $5,000 to out-of-state ABSN Second Degree students starting at Manchester University Fort Wayne this fall.

Manchester University Director of Athletics Rick Espeset announced that Vann Hunt will lead the Spartan football program.
Hunt, who began his his tenure as head coach last week, was most recently acting head coach and defensive coordinator at Allegheny College in Meadville, Pennsylvania.

Kathryn Marwitz, assistant professor of pharmaceutical sciences at Manchester University Fort Wayne, has been awarded an American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy New Investigator Award. Her research focuses on ways to prevent the spread of health and scientific misinformation and improve information literacy.

The Manchester Symphony Orchestra offers a message of peace at the Honeywell Center on Sunday, March 12.
The concert, Dona Nobis Pacem, which translates to “grant us peace,” showcases Ludwig van Beethoven’s “Mass in C” with the Manchester University A Cappella Choir, the Manchester Symphony Chorus and other choirs.

Dr. Nick Salupo treated patients in the intensive care unit during the Delta and Omicron COVID-19 surges, witnessing death and the dying process.
He will speak about “On Death and Dying” at 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 27 in Cordier Auditorium on the North Manchester campus of Manchester University. It is free and open the public. The presentation will also be livestreamed on the Manchester Facebook page.
